GIROUD, LOFTUS, ALONSO TO START IN ATTACK AGAINST LIVERPOOL
Lampard has released the names of players to feature in the FA cup against Liverpool tonight. He revealed that Pulicic and Kante are out injured. He asserted that Liverpool would field their strongest team and so, Chelsea is prepared to give them a run for their money.
Lampard hopes to capitalize on Liverpool’s loss to Watford and use it as a motivating factor for his boys. After Liverpool’s humiliation over the weekend, they can be likened to a roaring lion looking for who to devour.
Lampard however, expressed disappointment in his strikers for not living up to expectation. He said he did not like the fact that the defenders left the business of scoring goals to defenders.
He confirmed that Alonso and Loftus would start in attack pairing with Giroud.
