ODION IGHALO IS THE FIRST NIGERIAN TO PLAY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED
Odion Ighalo has expressed his unreserved joy as he is the first Nigerian to have played for the English club. The 30-year old player is on loan to the English club till the end of the season. The Nigerian international star moved from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua to Manchester United.
Ighalo was signed into the club after Marcus Rashford left the pitch due to a back injury he sustained. The departure of Alexis Sanchez and Lukaku in the club has left a vacuum in the club that needs to be filled.
He is expected to feature in the match against Chelsea FC on February 17.
Nigerians are hoping to see the player excel in his new club so that he can have a permanent deal. The club would likely take in Ighalo permanently if he performs well this season.
