(Edited)

While in Bangkok i always love walking the local suburban areas and like anywhere in the world it is one of my things i will walk till my feet tell me hey time to take a cold beer and sit down but most times that doesn't happen my feet just want to keep going...lol :)

The one thing i really enjoy is walking through the local suburban areas the people are so friendly you never fell you are in danger and i love seeing there every day way of living and working you see all the bike and car repair mechanics just working on the streets out front of there shops.

*My destination was going to be heading towards the Chao Phraya River there is always something of interest to been seen on this river. This river runs through the heart of Thailand and is 372 km long so as you can image there is lots to been seen.

I had at this stage already been walking for about 2 hours and had finally detoured my way through the local suburbs and was now looking at the Chao Phraya River i always love seeing what goes up and down these rivers the most amazing is these two tug boats pulling this huge mother of boats along this river all day long up and down i would love to know what they are hauling.

It was late afternoon and this time of the year is monsoon period so the weather can change from one extreme to another and this was happening right in front of my eyes so quickly that i had to get the hell away from the river and find some place i could hang around for a few hours and entertain myself because this storm was going to be heavy and hang around for awhile in was coming in quick and fast.

*I could see this Ferris wheel from were i was standing on the river front and i remembered seeing that Ferris wheel in a magazine saying it was situated in a huge shopping complex so that's were i was going to bolt to...lol :)

I had just made it to the front entrance of the Asiatique markets when all hell broke loss. I was under the cover of this huge complex i couldn't believe my eyes in what i was seeing these markets are very exclusive the things i was seeing here were beyond imaginable and i have seen many markets in Bangkok.

It will be impossible for me to cover this Asiatique market in one post this Riverfront complex was Bangkok's first large scale riverside project combining shopping, dining, sightseeing, activities and events under one roof how amazing is that so you can see i will have to bring this place to you in sections.

What attracted me at first was these two stalls that had all types of statues of Buddhist , brass bowls , assorted types of religious masks and many more interesting items all so beautiful in color some happy looking and some scary looking.

All these amazing handcrafted work is all hand made and comes from the Himalayas , Tibetan and Nepal i don't understand the meaning or the reasons behind all the Religious meaning of the scary masks but i am sure it would have something to do with warning of the bad spirits. I do think some of these masks would be made good for a Halloween night...lol :)

What i did like were these huge brass engraved pots great for huge party occasions cooking up a big strew.

The magnitude of items they had in these two stalls that were beside each was just mind blowing to think how many labor hours had gone into hand making and painting these statues just un-imaginable.

And just to give you a glimpse of what other stalls are there but you will need to wait to next week for some more stay tuned.

And of cause it's just want they need at these huge shopping complexes is these massage shops because believe me it's a lot of walking around in this mall.

WOW!

Why does it always surprise me when you bring me to these places? I will admit right up front that the old section of town really is what I love seeing. It is what Thailand is all about, where the people live and work and play.

It is a cultural experience.

Don't get me wrong, everything you post is always amazing and makes you run around with your mouth hanging open. But, I also like seeing what the other half does. :) And I agree with you. Those type of places don't intimidate me. Usually, people are nice and they are even helpful if I am looking for someplace in particular.

I am not sure I can even wow enough for the Asiatique Mall! There was so much there and so many unique and amazing!!

The magnitude of items they had in these two stalls that were beside each was just mind blowing to think how many labor hours had gone into hand making and painting these statues just un-imaginable.

YES! That is it!! Jewelry! Pots! Masks! Everything!!! How could you do this to me!???

And then. I saw this and wanted it.

You bring me the best ! Always!!!

#MarketFriday loves you!

You are right i do enjoy the old section markets of Thailand it's the real daily culture of how people live it every day and their are so many more that i can go to and probably in my life time would still never cover them all but what i found so brilliant and amazing these two stores was like you said the uncountable hours that have gone into each of these master pieces and you chose a awesome God of protector i also love that one.

And yes i love doing this to you ...i like your WoW...WoW :))))

Thanks for your always awesome comments and tip you have a lovely weekend my friend :)
