I got quite lucky yesterday with my biggest stake bet on the 1st Half Under in OHL vs Zulte-Waregem ending up in a half win as there could easily have been more goals there. My hunch on Cercle as an outright win @ 4.00+ odds did also deliver and it overall was a good day. Once again 4 more matches today and I'm highly looking forward to them...
Club Brugge vs Anderlecht
Anderlecht had an extremely easy schedule so far this season playing all the worst teams in the league. They are unbeaten but still took 4 draws often giving it away in the last minute. Today is their first real test against Club Brugge who found back their good form. Club Brugge in their last 2 matches was the superior team even though they never really pushed and felt like deliberately playing at 70% of their true power. At this moment they are my team to back in case they somehow would fall behind in a match. Anderlecht coach Kompany already stated that they won't crawl back so an entertaining match can be expected. Club Brugge is simply the superior team at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised to see Anderlecht not being close to good enough as a team to be able to compete with Club Brugge especially in an away match. Seeing how Club Brugge didn't really push the last matches I took an early bet on
Club Brugge -0.5 @ 1.640 with an eye to maybe take more live. Both teams rank quite high on attempts on goal and this should be a good setup for an entertaining match. I also took some on
Over 3.5 @ 2.85 early this week which just looked way too high odds given the expected play style of both. Both teams also are on top of the rankings in Corners created (6.143 for Club & 6.857 for Anderlecht on average) They both also rank on top of the least corners given away. I could however not resist taking what was available on
Over 10.5 Corners @ 2.40. Should be an entertaining match and I expect more live betting action.
AA Gent vs Beerschot
AA Gent failed to reach the Champions League group stage on Tuesday and again showed to be vulnerable in defense. They still rank on top in the table of attempts created and attempts on target despite being in a really bad spot at the moment. many key players are questionable, injured, or suspended. Odidja, Kums, Chakvetdze, Yaremchuk. This is the last match for them before the international break and most likely the last match for Coach De Dekker who got his chance but failed. Beerschot has been a solid team, but they also had a couple off matches (especially in their last away match against Charleroi). I also expect an open match with goals between these 2 teams with Beerschot having a fair chance. Odds feel mostly set based on the fact that AA Gent has higher statistics on shots on goal. Beerschot +0.75 @ 1.91. All combined they add up to around 1.4 units in stake. Should be an interesting match.
Charleroi vs Standard
Both teams played Europa League qualifier matches with only Standard making it to the group stage. Charleroi has been the team this season (and last season) which is the least favorite for opponents because of the way they play and how deadly they are on the counter. The best way to fight them is to come being happy with a 0-0 and just giving them the ball. So far only Moeskroen did this and managed to take a 1-1 draw. Standard has been ok but is still a team with a "form of the day" and I don't fully trust them. This is a matchup between the 2 best defenses in the league who combined on average give away 0.57 goals each match so far. Standard Striker Oulare is also questionable. The most likely scenario I see is a match where both won't be willing to take many risks at the start making it hard to score as they both know how to defend. Looking at previous results it can also be seen that these matches rarely produce a lot of goals and include multiple 0-0 results. I'm forced to go with the under in this match. My main bets are on
Under 2.5 @ 1.867 and
1st Half Under 1 @ 1.925 also taking a trading position on

Oostende vs Moeskroen
The most remarkable statistic between these 2 teams can be found in the corners. Oostende so far this season has been the "king of corners" with an average of 7.857 created each match (9.33 even at home). Moeskroen is the complete opposite with an average of 3.857 created (only 2 on average on the road while getting 9 against away on average). Based on these numbers I took a rather big position on
Oostende 1st Half -1 Corners @ 1.90 (Average price I managed to get). And also a bit on
Oostende Corners -2 @ 1.820. The home team has simply been a solid team this season while Moeskroen mostly relied on their solid defense not having luck on their side which leaves them in the last place. I totally expect a match where Oostende plays their usual offensive style with Moeskroen counting on their defense hoping to score on the counter. I'm just sticking to the corners in this one for now.
