The band Fine Young Cannibals was formed by 2 former members of the British post-punk ska band The Beat (aka The English Beat or The British Beat), after The Beat split up. In 1985, Fine Young Cannibals’ debut album charted in the UK, Australia, Canada, and several European countries. After a few years, the US also took notice.

While there is some good music being created these days, I think many people would say that the "Golden Age of Rock'n'Roll" is long gone.
