Al Horford signs a huge deal with the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason. He and the Sixers are set to compete for a championship. The Sixers are one of the best teams in the East, or should I say the best team in the East? With the Raptors out of contention after the departure of Kawhi Leonard, the Milwaukee Bucks are the only team that can match the Sixers this season. Horford is at the right place at the right time. He is with a great and young team who almost make it to the Finals last season. He is being paid and he has the chance to win it all.

With that being said, there are reports that Horford would’ve considered staying with the Celtics if he knew Kemba Walker is coming. Kyrie Irving leaving might be the main reason why he left the C’s. Maybe he wanted to have that kind of superstar around him but nobody knows that Kemba is on his way to Boston.

Loyalty is hard to find in the league today. Many players especially the veterans are looking to win a championship before their career ends. They are chasing championships so they go to a team where they have a better chance of getting it. Anyway, it’s all done. Horford is with the Sixers now. It’s a great decision and he should not be regretting it. Let’s see how far the Celtics can go with Kemba Walker leading.
