Just when everyone thought Philadelphia Sixers winning-streak will continue and expected to dominate the Eastern Conference standings, it was also the time when they started to fall and continue to become a victim for other teams. Their 5-game winning start impressed analysts and fans all over the world, including a big win against Bostong Celtics.

Philadelphia Sixers have a really great lineup acquiring an important Power Forward from Boston Al Horford and Miami's Josh Richardson who came to the team before pre-season started. They let go of Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick, and Covington for these players. Now, Brett Brown has assembled in what could be his greatest starting five : Simmons, Embiid, Horford, Richardson, and Tobias Harris. It's a great lineup to be honest and its a championship caliber team.

Their winning ways came to an end after being defeated by Phoenix Suns at Talking Stick Resort Arena after an explosive 40-point performance by Devin Booker (114-109). Despite Horford's 32-point performance, the team failed to stretch in the end. They missed Embiid in that game, after being banged with Karl Anthony Towns in their win against Timberwolves, where both players faced a 2-game ban.

Their second loss came to the hands of Utah Jazz and was a close game not until Bojan Bogdanovic hit a three that hurt the scoreline 106-101 and just 1:41 left in the final regulation. Sixers weren't able to catch up with the trail, making Jazz celebrate the win at home.

Then another painful loss for the Sixers in the hands of Denver Nuggets who were trailing the whole game. In fact, Sixers wasted a 19-point lead at the end of third quarter. Denver rallied in the fourth outscoring Philadelphia 35-13, including a game winning shot by Jokic inside the three point line, making them escape with a win. There was actually a chance for the Sixers to snatch it, but Joel Embiid caught pushing Jokic after their timeout, making it extend their lead to 100-97.
