The poetry of Formula 1

What moves inspiration in Formula 1? The power! Machine and man form a symbiosis curdled with dreams, with a great team that moves the threads of that great show that resembles an epic poem.

Formula 1 is an international motor racing competition that drives a lot of capital and media coverage. Since 1950, it is a dream that inspires many pilots, among which, some who have jumped the limits of the racetrack to settle in the hearts of people. Such is the case of Ayrton Senna, a Brazilian pilot who died in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, when it crashed into the wall of a curve; becoming an emblem and symbol of a sport that few have access to and many dream of arriving.

The poetry in Formula 1 is not only in the dream of being Champion of each pilot, it is also in the competition car of the different teams; Among those that stand out historically: Ferrari, Williams, Lotus, McLaren, Renault, Mercedes Benz, Red Bull, among others.

The magic begins to happen from the practices. But, each Prize is a poem that records the score achieved by each pilot, according to the place occupied between the first and the tenth, namely: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 and, since 2019, 1 point is awarded to the fastest lap of the tournament, as it appears in the score and order box of Formula 1 on Wikipedia.

Climbing the podium is also poetry that fills three pilots with glory, the first three places get this prestigious distinction and the opportunity to experience intense emotions such as listening to the anthem of their nation in homage to their feat, receiving the Grand Prix represented in a cup or a trophy and beat the champagne to toast with everyone present from the top of the podium, as gods of Olympus.

If we are interested in knowing which champion has won the most laurels in this racing competition, we will discover that the driver who has won the most prizes in the history of Formula 1 is Michael Schumacher, seven times champion and they follow him, with five championships each one : Juan Manuel Fangio and Lewis Hamilton, the latter with a view to obtaining his sixth championship now in 2019, as he leads the statistics.

So 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018, have been years in which Lewis Hamilton, first with McLaren in 2008 and then with Mercedes, has fed not only his own flame as a champion who fills the skies of the world with his dreams crystallized, but he has shared his achievements with his fans and the public that closely follows the Formula 1 races.

Other famous champions who overflowed the hearts of their fans of emotion, were: Niki Lauda and James Hunt, immortalized in the cinema. They also stand out in recent times: Fernando Alonso who was champion in a Regnault car, Kimi Raikkonen with Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel with Red Bull, who like Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes, continue to look for the "quam" in a four-wheel motor , reaping triumphs and fighting for what the poet Horacio will call: "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero", literally: "Harvest the day".

La poesía es sentimiento, la vida es poesía, es amor. Todo lo amor que hacemos con amor es poesía, por es está en la Fórmula 1 también.
