Sunday was another day that ended in a small loss making it a 3rd losing day in a row. Overall damage is still limited as I have taken a cautious approach. One more interesting match today and I will continue to be conservative on the stakes unless something is so good comes up that really makes sense.
AA Gent vs Racing Genk
So AA Gent played an away Europa League match where they showed to be the team with far more quality, yet they still ended up losing 1-0 and continue to be in a crisis. One of their main issues is that they give goals away too easily. Chakvetadze is still injured and Odidja questionable. Bolat will be back in the goal for this match and their last home match was their best of the season winning 5-1 against Beerschot. This time there will be no fans and they have the Mid-week match and travel in their legs which did show to be a factor for the other teams this week that also had mid-week matches. Racing Genk so far also hasn't had a good season and they switched coach getting Thorup who was fired by the AA Gent board. He had a couple of weeks to work with the players and improvements starting to show. Last week they took a fair win against Charleroi playing a very mature match. Important offensive wing player Ito who has been a revelation will be suspended for this match. Right now when it comes down to pre-game bets, I am mostly looking at higher odds options given the many strange results. I took a small-medium pre-game position on
Racing Genk +0 @ 2.65 a couple of days ago which feels too high (It's most likely based on 6.3 attempts on target for Gent vs 3.7 for Genk. Gent, however, is in a bad streak while Genk seems to be improving. Former AA Gent coach Thorup should give Genk a tactical advantage and the fact that there are no fans along with possible fatigue of the home team might play a role. Many matches in the Belgian League had crazy high scores and this once could potentially also be one of those. I'm not comfortable taking the O 3.25 line though. AA Gent went over 9.5 corners in their last 4 matches while Genk averages 11.5 corners away going 3-1 on Over 9.5 so that might be something to look at if it is in fact an open up and down match. I did take what I could on
Corners 1H Over 4.25 @ 1.82 offered by Singbet as Pinnacle has the same odds for O 4.5 (both available on
Sportmarket Pro). Onuachu (@2.44) and Yaremchul (@2.50) to score are 2 action beer bets (160 TRX Each) I took on
Wink.org as they are the main strikers of both teams that also should take the penalties and are in decent form. I Should be an interesting one and I'm looking forward to it!
