Nigeria Emerges Third Place In AFCON 2019

After a sorrowful loss against Algeria, Nigeria 🇳🇬 went on a battle with Tunisia 🇹🇳 last night for AFCON third place. It was a tough night, nonetheless, the super eagles won the Bronze medal with an early strike from Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo to pitch out the Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles.

Odion Ighalo was however substituted with V. Osimhen after noticing a strain injury in injury time of half-time. The Nigerian striker has been outstanding in this competition compared to the last world cup. Ighalo is on the verge to win the highest goal scorer of the competition after scoring his fifth goal during the third place surpassing Mane (SEN), Bakambu (COD), Ounas (ALG), and Mahrez (ALG) with 2 goals.
