Jupiler League Week 27 Friday Match | Kortrijk vs Racing Genk

These are previews from the Belgian League with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

I managed to grind out some profit yesterday but it certainly was not easy. The pre-game odds on the Club Brugge match turned out to be razor-sharp while there was some good value on AA Gent who ended up losing with a 1 goal margin. The reverse Europa League matches will be played next week. Today we already reached week 27 of the regular season. I continue to be cautious on the bets I take and will mostly be sticking to small stake bets and trades when I get involved.

KV Kortrijk vs Racing Genk

Racing Genk is the fight for a playoff 1 spot with 4 more matches to go. They are currently in 6th place having a 1 point lead over KV Mechelen, 4 points on Anderlecht and Waregem, 5 on Moeskroen and 6 on Kortrijk who can halve this today. The question remains how much Kortrijk still believes they can make it into the top 6 and is motivated for it. They have been in a good streak with 3 wins and a draw including a home win over Standard. Genk last week were outplayed by Standard who played it smart on the counter. In their last away match Racing Genk played a good 2nd half and had forward intentions and 8 of their 9 last away matches all had at least 10 corners each. My main angle on Kortrijk remains that they are better when playing toward their home fans and the fact that they are an over home team while being an under away team. Their pitch is not all that good but this didn't keep goals from being scored in their previous matches. I'm expecting a match where both teams go for it. Important defender Dewaest is suspended for Genk while Kortrijk can count on Moffi and Mboyo in the offense. My lean is on the home team and the over but odds are not at a point where I would get in on them before first seeing how the match is played early on and which team plays toward what side.
