Before the window got shut, Everton sealed the deal. Alex Iwobi joins Everton with a deal close to £34m.
I watched the news a few hours before the deal. I felt it was just a rumor until the very last hour they sealed the deal. Alex Iwobi featured in 149 games for the Gunners and he scored 15 goals overall. The number of goals may not sound significant, but he is more of a playmaker, and he does a lot of assists. Alex Iwobi is the 7th summer signing of the Toffees, after the likes of Moise Kean, Jonas Lossl, Andre Gomes, Djibril Sidibe, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Fabian Delph. Having Iwobi to the crew is indeed decent for Everton. They may become a real ''hard-bone'' to deal with this season. The current leading teams should watch out.
It is a better move for Iwobi. Staying in Arsenal would have made him a sub for Arsenal huge signing, Nicolas Pepe. I hope he enjoys his career at Everton. He is still a pretty young player, and there are more to expect from him.
