Click & Grow, part deux
Remember the Click & Grow smart garden, that was gifted to us and that I blogged about a month ago or a tad more? Original post can be found here - Steemit, Steempeak.
It looked so sterile and clean, like a new lab coat just out of the closet, folded nicely and starched. But now, a month later (for the love of god, I cannot find out the date of the original post, because Steemit and Steempeak reference to it as posted on "last month" or "a month ago") - the plants have really blossomed. Can you say blossomed to these edible plants? I don't really care. We've been harvesting the lettuce and basil plants for more than a week now. Nothing beats the feeling of taking fresh herbs from your own mini garden each morning and using them on your breakfast. And I am just discovering foods where I can use fresh basil.
Today I was thinking of kicking one pod of basil out (there's 3 of them) and trying to replace either with a parsley pod from Click & Grow, or trying to plant parsley in the pod myself. After all, how hard can it be, right? But I read today, that the green lettuce will stop producing soon anyway, so maybe I wont kick the basil out just yet. So, parsley.... hopefully, we'll meet soon!
Tomato plants are just starting to show their blossoms. Soon, my little babies, soon we will eat your sweet veggies!
