How Does Steemit Work? Can You Quickly Make Money With Steemit, Like Bernie Sanders Earning $343.09 Weekly Writing Questions & Comments?
How does Steemit work for the newcomer? Can a person really make money with Steemit, just by writing very short pieces, asking questions and making comment?
I'm not sure. How can someone make money with Steemit by constructing valuable short articles and asking questions giving other people an opportunity to earn money with their comments? Is it possible to make money with Steemit posting valuable comments? If so, how does one go about doing it?
I'm finding out when you do anything on Steemit like editing, posting, commenting or upvoting, it cost you in Resource Credits.
Their approximate values are, for now:
posts / comments 14,200,000,000
votes 3,000,000,000
transfers/powerups 2,700,000,000
Look at how much money Bernie Sanders is making with his material.

Made $198.31 just by posting a plain picture with some short word captions with inflated emotional words.
What I think is amazing is the fact he has made anywhere from $20 up to over $200 for all 48 posts he has written.
Another thing I discovered is by entering a Memeday contest, your post can earn anywhere from $5 to $15 dollars. I’m not really sure how it works, but if you know, I’d love to read a comment about it.
So, if someone creates excellent content, how can you get it noticed and make money off of it. If a person doesn't know how to do this, then they will be spending a lot of money just posting on Steemit with no return. This means a writer will not last long on Steemit.
I’m new here and I’m trying to find out what I can do to earn Steem quickly, so I don't have to upload SteemPower to my wallet every few actions. I've spent close to $20 now buying SteemPower just so I can participate in this community. I took a course and am trying some of the stuff out.
I've asked some other questions and posted them over here:

I should edit my question that is a copy of this one, but it cost just too many resource credits to do it. So, I will just leave it be.
- Do you have any tips?
- Do you notice someone that is doing something that is really working? What is it?
- What have you done to earn the big bucks?
- How do you make loyal friends who will follow you?
- How can you make your post really look nice?
Who are some great people to follow that know how to earn Steem?
I’d love to hear what you have to say.

Hi @cdanderson!
You know, I've often wondered the same thing and have many of the same questions since I joined last week. I see posts that I wouldn't expect to be popular that are, in fact, very popular, and vice versa. I think it just goes to show that we have a vibrant community here that has a definite wide palette of tastes.
As with any other social media site, I believe the trick to success is a combination of engagement and content. Engagement can be tricky here due to the need for 'Steem Power', but the difference is the potential payout of actual money. It has it's ups and downs, and I've been thinking of putting my thoughts together on it for the last couple days.
There definitely are a lot of bots here, for sure! In defence, many of them are designed to encourage engagement and to help new people - like both of us - become more familiar with the platform. It can be challenging to wade through sometime.
Regardless, rest assured that there are actual people here, too. I am one of them! Shoot me a note. Say Hi! I'll say hi back, and we can discuss whatever.
Cheers!
