15 km long run

avatar

Yesterday we got a storm which rained away most of the snow. Not ready for winter to be over but on the bright side I had my first December run without spikes. Took it very easy and ran 15 km (average pace 6:30/km). The first 13 was so good, but then I got stiff and had pain everywhere. Probably my body is not used to asphalt so I will do some extra stretching and strength!

Just one more run scheduled in 2019. It’s crazy how fast time flies.

Nice run and not a bad pace overall. Haven't run in spikes yet...Been lucky and trying to avoid the slippy spots, I've picked a pair up just not sure how it will affect my run. What brand do you use?

Actually I haven’t made friends with my Sarva spiked shoes and prefer the add-on spikes on my regular shoes. I hear several people being happy with icebug shoes but I haven’t tried them. My add-on spikes are Snowline Pro or Traxole walking, depending on the amount of ice outside.

You need to stake more BEER (6 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)
