Weekly running update WB Mid March 2020 - Park Run PB - 20.13!

Four runs this week, starting with a nice easy group run with the local running club, then easy-ish local intervals on Thursday, Park Run PB on Saturday, smashed it, and finally an easy 10K on Monday, gave myself a day off on Saturday.

I also did a lot of painting this week, so happy days, very physical!

I track most of my runs with Garmin, which auto uploads to Strava.

Tuesday's Run - 7K very slow

I would usually do intervals on a Tuesday, but I really wasn't feeling it, so I delayed the run and went to the local Hereford Courier's social run instead - which was a very slow almost 7K trot around the outside of the Race Course.

Quite enjoyed it, had nice chats, not my usual time for a run, but I might just do it again!

Thursday's Run: Easy-ish intervals

Just my local 5K route, but I intervalled it rather than blasted it - just about got 6 random sprints of between 200 to 400 meters in, so that's OK

Saturday's Run: Park Run PB of 20.13 by 30 secs

20.13 and I got a 70% age grading, first time ever I think!

I was well up for this today, and it was perfect conditions - about 10 degrees, sunny, almost zero wind, so it had to be a PB.

I clocked someone I knew was fast, and so just stuck with him and his mate, they took me round in the above time, I was really hanging on at the end! They carried on for another 'training lap'!

Crazy.

Sunday's Run: On Monday, 10K slow!

Next week's plans

I'm working away in Bristol, so I'm gonna try for one on Weds afternoon, probably random intervals, then an easy on Friday morning, and if I'm not too hungover, a Park Run on Saturday.

Hopefully a long Sunday run, have to see how it goes!
