Hello friends how are you?
Today I will leave you my entry to the SKATEHIVE contest, about the skateboard Olympics, what we think and how it could affect the world of skateboarding.

First of all, everyone is free to give their opinion and think what they want on this subject, and as good people we are, we respect the ideology of the people.

The idea of skateboarding in the Olympics does not seem bad to me, but it is not something that I like very much either, it has its positive and negative sides, at least I think so, the positive side is that skateboarding will be heard more than before, and more People will watch the sport more, some for fanaticism and others for love.

That is very good, many people will change their ideas that skateboarding is a crime, they will be able to look at it differently.

But what I do think is that skateboarding is not a sport, it is a lifestyle, each person has a different style, no one is the same as anyone, that cannot be changed, how will they give a score, do they qualify as? I do not understand that, it is like comparing a great trick but fallen like this, with a normal trick but stylish and elegant, that is very difficult to compare.

Perhaps many agree with this but others do not, the only thing that seems positive to me is that skateboarding will be more listened to and will be more respected just because it will be an Olympic sport.

I know that many skaters in the world can feel offended, because the way to rate each person for tricks or style is something difficult to do, as I said earlier this is a lifestyle, it is something that goes beyond doing tricks, this is more than that friends.

But there is no other option than to enjoy the friendly Olympic games, they will be very good.

Let's see how skateboarding is gonna be jodged bro!
As you said it's gonna impact skateboarding both negative and positive but I thinks it's have a more negative impact than positive.
More skateparks will be built and now the police and the citizens will have 1 more excuse to make you leave from a street spot.

I think skateboarding will loose it's magic.

Thinking about it from that point of view is fine, but think more paques, more people will be motivated to skate.

Definitely bro! I just hope all these people don't just skate the skatepark and also hit the streets. It's our duty to educate the younger kids about the skateboarding culture as older skaters educated us!
