Olympic athlete jailed for smuggling £2,000,000 of ecstasy and crystal meth

An Olympic sprinter, Madiea Ghafoor have been jailed for eight and a half years after being caught with £2 million worth of ecstasy and crystal meth.

The 27-year-old Dutch athlete claimed she thought she was carrying doping materials and has refused to mention who gave her the drugs or who she was delivering then to.

Officials found 50kg of ecstasy tablets, 2kg of crystal meth and 11,950 euros in cash in the boot of her car.

My Thoughts.

First off, she is an Olympian and doing well and I wonder why she had to move drugs.

Is she a mule or is she aware of what she was up to? Because, her statement that she thought it was a doping drug is far fetched.

She isn't speaking and is really scared for her family and friends accordingly to report and she is yet to mention a name or say where she was reading to with the drugs.

Do you think she is aware of this?

Will it be safe to say, she has been doing it for a while and only just got caught?
