Hi @stimp1024 I think that England still have an amount of mental fragility when it comes to the big crunch matches. I think that there is a sense of entitlement running through the team and when things are going against them and they can't deal with it.
I was reading this morning that they have been working with a psychologist to get over being knocked out of their home World Cup at the group stages in 2015. This signals mental fragility to me.
I also skimmed an interview with Kyle Sinckler talking about 10 man rugby, in my opinion you don't win modern rugby matches or world cups playing that way.

Hi p-props. You make a good point I didn't consider that they went out in the group stage of the World Cup in 2015 on home soil. I do think their long unbeaten run a while back and the start here as been over played by the punters on Betfair. England now joint second favourite (to lay) at 5.9. I really do think the Argentina game will be very tough, I wouldn't be surprised if England lost it.

@stimp1024 the punters on betfair sometimes back or lay in terms of what they want to happen and get involved in the emotion of the event rather than looking at the cold hard facts. I'm sure we've all done it!

Yes very true, that is where the bettor who isn't emotionally attached can do well. I have done some silly bets on England before and looking back I wonder what on earth I was thinking. A few years ago I put £20 on England to win a Euro qualifier match but it ended in a draw. I remember the bloke who took the bet said good luck and I think he genuinely meant it, he was also laughing as he probably thought what a mug!
