The Super Bowl this year will be held in Miami. The headliners are both Latina women. They both have long well established careers and international fanbases.

Besides the fact that both women are very popular and talented here are a few reasons why it was such a brilliant choice:

The Hispanic market is growing exponentially in the USA. as a demographic they are relatively not into football, compared to soccer and baseball. Also the fact that it is in Miami is perfect. Miami is the unofficial melting pot for many Latin communities from all over central and South America.

J Lo is from the Bronx and is of Puerto Rican descent. Shakira is from Colombia. Together they have sold millions of albums throughout the world. Those two women are the perfect choice to headline the halftime show. I know I’ll be watching.
