I've never learned to shoot, but I keep thinking it's something I should try. We don't have anything like your range around here, but logging roads are pretty quiet and I know the kids go out there to practice. It seems like a pretty handy skill to have.

Give it a try. Some don't like it however I believe it's a good skill to have. I think it's possibly good to have an understanding of how guns work and what to do with them. One never knows when that skill may pay dividends.
