It is EPL season again, those moments when you can't hold back the joy and emotions as we are set to experience the thrill and tension that comes with the English Premier League.

Liverpool already opened the season with a 4-1 win against newly promoted side Norwich City earlier today which is the only EPL fixture scheduled to hold today being 9th of August while the rest continues tomorrow 10th of August, 2019. Amongst those EPL fixtures tomorrow will be a long time rivalry clash between two giant English teams in Manchester United and Chelsea at the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford.

Manchester United
The Red devils will definitely be looking to improve with their display this season after they slumped to a sixth place finish last season. They appear to have made good use of the transfer window as they strengthened key areas with strong signings. Harry Maguire and Aaron Bissaka are just two of the very important signings made by the red devils in a bid to strengthen their defence.

Manchester United have fared fairly good in their preseason encounters with 5 wins, 1 draw and 0 losses and the spirit in the squad appears to be a very lively and confident one heading into this encounter.

The Red devils do not have much injury, fitness and crucial non-availability-player problems with the speculations surrounding star player Paul Pogba laid to rest as he is included in the squad to face the Blues. Aside Baily, there isn’t much injury concerns for the reds.

Chelsea
With the loss of their star man for the past seasons Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, it is only understandable that the Blues will struggle to find their feet without him. The Blues were able to recruit Christian Pulisic before they were hit with a two windows transfer ban. The American winger is expected by fans to replicate the performances they were accustomed to by their former star player, Eden Hazard and the winger has responded positively to those demands in the preseason matches.

Chelsea FC’s new coach and former player Frank Lampard would feel hard done with the transfer ban as it prevented the blues from making necessary additions to the squad after crucial departures. David Luiz was reported to not be part of the English coach’s plans this season hence his departure to cross-town rivals Arsenal. Hudson-Odoi, Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus Cheek are all sidelined while Ngolo Kante is a doubt. Frank Lampard who is seen to be a more attack-minded coach would be hoping his available players get the job done at Old Trafford with history on their side in the sense that the club has only lost three out of their last 19 games with this same opposition and having lost just one out of their last 20 opening games.

Conclusion

This is going to be the match of the weekend as two former legends go against each other no longer as players but as coaches of their former teams. Frank Lampard appears to be more tactically sound amongst the two and he will need every tactical experience he can be able to gather as he is going against a full and confident United squad with a depleted team. Solksjaer on the other hand would be counting on his trusted players and new signings to get the job done in front of their own fans and make a positive statement as regards improvement from their disappointing campaign last season.
