European Cup 2020 participants are not complete because several of countries have to play the playoffs to get one ticket. However, the draw which was carried out without having to wait for the last participant, gave birth to a surprise.

After finishing the mid-qualifying session this month, there are 20 teams that have confirmed qualification and the remaining four tickets are contested by 16 teams through the playoff mechanism, next March.
However, slots for the remaining four teams have been prepared. Predictions about the Hell Group have appeared since the beginning considering France, Croatia, and the Netherlands are in pot 2, while Portugal in pot 3. The distribution of pots is based on results during qualification.
The prediction came true when France, Germany, and Portugal went together in Group F. The three were the winners in the last three editions of major tournaments, namely the World Cup and European Cup. The remaining one team will be contested by Romania, Iceland, Hungary and Bulgaria.
Meanwhile, Britain's other favorite champions are in Group D with Croatia, the Czech Republic, and the winners of the Group C. playoffs in Group A, Italy will meet Italy, Wales and Switzerland.
In Group B, Denmark will face Finland, Belgium and Russia. In Group C the Netherlands was brought together by Ukraine, Austria, and the winner of the Group D Playoffs between Northern Macedonia, Kosovo, Belarus, or Georgia.
Spain as the holder of the most European Cup trophies with Germany is in Group E which also filled Sweden, Poland, and Group B Playoff winners between Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
The tournament will be held for the first time in 12 different cities from June 12 to July 12 2020.

Drawing Piala Eropa 2020 memunculkan grup neraka. Adalah juara bertahan Portugal yang berada bersama Jerman dan Prancis di grup yang sama. Ini ada sebuah situasi yang tidak diharapkan oleh Jerman, Portugal, dan Prancis. Begitulah hasil drawing yang dilakukan di Bukarest, Sabtu (30/11/2019) malam waktu setempat. Setelah menyudahi sesi kualifikasi tengah bulan ini, ada 20 tim yang sudah memastikan lolos dan empat tiket tersisa diperebutkan 16 tim melalui mekanisme playoff, Maret mendatang.
Meski demikian, slot untuk empat tim tersisa sudah disiapkan. Prediksi soal Grup Neraka sudah muncul sejak awal mengingat Prancis, Kroasia, dan Belanda ada di pot 2, sementara Portugal di pot 3. Pembagian pot berdasarkan hasil selama kualifikasi.
Ramalan itu jadi kenyataan ketika Prancis, Jerman, dan Portugal barengan di Grup F. Ketiganya adalah pemenang di tiga edisi terakhir turnamen besar, yakni Piala Dunia dan Piala Eropa. Sisa satu tim akan diperebutkan Rumania, Islandia, Hongaria, dan Bulgaria.
