Clarkson on standby-mode to play for Gilas Pilipinas

Filipino-American player Jordan Clarkson is in standby mode and awaits the call of Gilas Pilipinas to play in the FIBA World Cup in China.

The Cleveland Cavaliers player said that despite his uncertainty that he could play he continued to practice.

It said the readiness to play in the tournament in the event of being contacted by Gilas coach Yeng Guaio.

Guiao added the name of the 27-year-old player to the 19-man player submitted to FIBA.

It is expected that its name will still be included when it counts.

He is also willing to accept the fortune if he fails to receive the national team of the Philippines.

Clarkson is expected to play in Gilas Pilipina as a naturalized player during the Asian Games in Indonesia where they finished fifth.

We all know Team Gilas is always giving great basketball action and passion to bring up Philippines every game. Exciting to watch basketball games knowing that we are always underdog. But the heart of a filipino will fight until the end. Hope to have a good basketball this coming world cup.

I think they can't work together with Clarkson. The difference of playing abilities is very far. So it is hard for him and to other team of gilas to fits each of one skills. Like the last time around. I saw Gilas playing different from without Clarkson and with Clarkson. That is just my opinion.
