Candian world number 22 tennis player Milos Raonic retires from US Open due to glute injury.

The 28-year-old former Wimbledon finalist has not played since recovering from injury in the US Open tune-up games in early August.

Nicolas Jarry of Chile is set to face off in the first round of the US Open.

Due to his withdrawal, he will be replaced by Kamil Majchrzak of Poland.

He has only limited playing this year due to a back and knee injury.

Glute injury is a pain in the upper back of the thigh.

This is a sad news, it is very frustrating for Raonic to experience this one. He must have been devastated because he prepared for this event only to be injured. Hoping for his speedy recovery.
