It is still uncertain if Fil-Am NBA player Jordan Clarkson will play Gilas Philippines for the upcoming 2019 FIBA ​​World Cup.

Gilas 'coaching staff said they are still hoping Clarkson can play to further strengthen the Pinas' weapons against other countries in the league.

Clarkson was asked to join the team as a local player and not a naturalized citizen. The team is set to fly to Spain to join the group's longest training camp for the World Cup.

"I'm quite sure that about the time I get back from Spain, I'm 100 percent ready," Blatche said.

“Me personally, I'm working on conditioning, running fourth quarter and playing defense. Our offense is going to come for this team. It's more about defense for us, ”Blatche added.
