Men's Hash run #1311

Mondays are reserved for the male only Hash. I know this is probably frowned upon in some modern societies with the feminist movement and what not but it is a tradition that was established a long time ago. If anyone ever complains about it there are 2 other hashes that happen every week that is for the women as well as a monthly run that is women only. It would happen more often but there simply aren't as many women involved in the Hash here as men.

Anyway, this was the 1311th Hash for the Chiang Mai men's kennel and it was hared by two of the least physically capable members "Angry Inch" and "Square Rooter."

The day began with the "Hare brief" explaining that the trail would be using powder indicators, which is something I think most hashers prefer due to environmental aspects and what not. You don't feel as though you are littering when using something that will disappear after the first rain.

We had presumed that since the fellas that made the trail are both near a thousand years old that the trail would be flat and easy but we were terribly wrong. Here you can see "Cumlord" and "Adorable Blue Balls" already complaining and sweating like mad despite the fact that we are only a couple of km in and the weather is quite cool.

What goes up must go down! Here we can see one of the actually less dangerous declines and there were many more to come as well. Here we see the backs of "Pussy Whisperer" - the man who never runs but keeps a pace that few runners can match, and Mary Poppins, who is probably lost and just following PW.

Here we can see the kind of hills we were dealing with. On some of these bits the soil was dry and loose and multiple people lost their footing and landed straight on their asses. Other, more stupid individuals, decided to let the hill take them and ended up with a speed that they couldn't control. It's a miracle more people don't get injured on these things.

Only two people got lost, which is not something we concern ourselves with... no search party was sent out because we don't really like the other members very much. They eventually made their way to the circle anyway although we had hoped they wouldn't since we actually ran out of beer today.

It's not often that we get a view like this at the circle and tonight was a real winner. It started to cool off dramatically after the sun went down and everyone started whinging about how cold they were. These are the same people that were complaining about how hot it was just 2 hours before. Some people just can't be pleased.

The next event takes place this Thursday the 26th of December. "Taste my Buns" and "Brownfinger" will be the hares. As always the pickup time is at 330 outside the ThaPae McDonalds.
