Manchester United Crumble in FA cup semi final my thoughts, Rant

Good Evening community

Today's post is gonna be in-depth post-match thoughts and analysis on the game with some rants from myself because being A Manchester United fan is challenging right now.

Earlier today Manchester United faced Chelsea in a FA cup semi-final and lost 3-1.

David de gea howlers

David de gea has been making error after error throughout the season and today was an extremely terrible day with him arguably making 3 errors that cost us 3 goals the first goal maybe I should cut him some slack but the second goal was outrageous it was close to him he didn't need to stretch his arms and somehow it went completely past him and into the net.

I can't believe why Ole (Manager) decided to take out an inform Sergio Romero who has been wonderful in cup games this season and replace him with David knowing full well that he has been making mistakes in recent games.

David de gea has been left behind and many goalkeepers are now favoured over him. From winning best player awards a few seasons back he is merely A former shadow of himself and is now struggling to keep up with the other goalkeepers such as Ederson, Allison, Jan Oblak and upcoming goalkeeper Dean Henderson who is now being talked about for a possible replacement for David as Dean Henderson has been phenomenal for Sheffield United the past two seasons and is actually on loan to them from Manchester United themselves.

Personally I think David's time is coming to an end at United he has been amazing in the past but the past two seasons he hasn't been what he once was.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tactics wrong and not the right man for the club

I have been very open in the past and stated many times that I'm not a fan of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being Manager at the club a fantastic player but Manager I think not. I honestly can't see him ever winning A league title or any other trophy under him yes he reached A semi-final but so did A Chelsea side that before now suffered from inconsistency and form as well as Arsenal who were going through A Transmission from Emery to Arteta. Even if Ole manages to finish in the top 4 what is there to achieve next season I don't see us as real contenders for the UCL or League title and here's why I think that...

Scared to rotate squad

I can see why he keeps putting out his strongest eleven each game, of course, he wants to finish the season strong and get that top 4 finish and FA cup trophy however he lost today and I think he needs to take responsibility for the loss He got the formation completely wrong he changed the formation from what Manchester United was familiar too and they couldn't adapt, credit to Chelsea who played very well and pressed high up the pitch to make it even more difficult to adapt to.

He either doesn't trust the bench and other players or simply is afraid to lose games I understand the urge to finish in the top 4 and win a trophy but today's game lineup was a disastrous decision.

Inconsistency

You can say that Manchester United's form has been great recently which is right they are 12 games unbeaten in the Premier League however they have drawn 4 of those. Manchester United have shown they can go on unbeaten runs but they do it when they are out of contention of achieving anything out of it and although they do achieve wins from big teams they are constantly dropping points at teams in the lower end of the table and to be any kind of league title contender that is not acceptable and you can't be dropping points like that.

Not enough top-level experience to take the club higher

I'm gonna be very honest in my opinion in that I just do not believe Ole can take this club to be league title contenders and fighting in Europe unless he is given so much time he learns or gets all the best players in the world in the palm of his hand. It's just not for me really to see Ole win the Premier League within the next five seasons. Yes you can say they fit in the table right now but next season Liverpool will be looking to be as strong as they have been, Manchester City will be looking to bounce back, Chelsea is having A big transfer window and bringing in bags of talent, Leicester has done very well under Rogers and will at least be a top 6 contender next season the same as Wolves, Arsenal is starting to really pick up on their form and lastly Jose Mourinho is starting to build a great Tottenham side.

I just don't see Manchester United winning under Ole maybe achieve top 4 but the title no way, not for me.

People compared Ole to Frank during the season 'give Ole time, Frank is struggling at Chelsea' But to me, Frank has had a much more challenging task at Chelsea and although he did struggle at the start of the season and is still having slight slip-ups here and there he has reached an FA cup final and is currently in the top 4 for me he's had A very successful season.

Ole out!

This concludes my post.

The 2nd goal really hurt you.

United had a couple of half chances after that but it always felt as though Chelsea were more likely to get a third.

I think while everyone has been waxing lyrical about this United team of late. It should be remembered that they’ve beaten 4 of the bottom 6 in recent weeks. This defeat brings things into perspective a little more.

If Solskjaer fails to get CL football then he’ll be in trouble otherwise I think he’s doing ok in regards rebuilding. He might not be the long-term answer but they have improved on last year’s efforts
