Apr. 4, 20: AutomaticWin, LPM State Convention, Programming, and Games

Woah! Woke up early this morning to some serious chain drama! The usual morning routine was overshadowed by the fact that Stinc had announced a new fork (22.8888) freezing the stake of an unknown number of accounts!!!

Ended up they only froze a few, but their announcement contained a clause stating that they could add more accounts to the list, so the danger hasn’t completely passed.

There was also a massive pump in the Steem price (47 BTC 24 hour volume!) without a corresponding Hive dump, so it looks like outside money coming from somewhere.

I got a powerdown coming, so I’m kinda’ glad that they’re close to parody! 😁. Unfortunately, Blocktrades was one of the frozen accounts, so no more direct route to Hive, got to pay exchange fees twice to go in and out of bitcoin. 😡

As it was a Saturday, we got out early and took the dog for a walk. Scored the #AutomaticWin without a problem. 😀

Was a bit chillier, but that’s not completely fair since the sun had barely come up yet.

Mr. Chubbles was feeling unsociable today. He gave us a bit of a ‘tude, so we just left him to his bad self. Nothing doing when he’s in one of his moods.

Beautiful way to start the day. 😊

In the afternoon we had the Libertarian Party of Michigan State Convention where we nominated the delegates for the national convention. We were supposed to have it last week in person, but obviously that was a no go, so we did it virtually through Zoom.

All things considered, it went fairly well. We didn’t accomplish much in over six hours, but we did get the delegates selected which was the main order of business.

We caucused with our districts, but I still have another year in my term on the Executive Committee, so we didn’t have an election or anything, just BS’d for a while.

Was interesting to use online voting/polling, and it seemed to go relatively smoothly as well.

I’m still getting a server error 500 when I try to log in to Holybread. 😭 I guess that’s the end of that since it sounds like the Steemconnect devs are AFK.

To be honest, I didn’t really feel like playing Splinterlands today. After what? five days of playing and only moving to 2637, I’m starting to get a bit desensitized. It’s getting to the point that I just don’t GAF.

I did complete my daily quest, which was Water splinter, fairly quickly and just settled with Gold I, whatever.

Came really close to being officially over today, but I did get one card. DEC rewards weren’t too much of a waste, but I don’t know how much value they hold for me anymore.
