Slept in a bit, relatively speaking, and missed my first hour of steps. Even so, the ten k steps per day streak continues!!! 👍😃

Mom called in the morning. She wanted me to get her mail and take back some library books before they were overdue. She sounded pretty good for the first minute or so of the conversation, but it seemed like she was having trouble breathing by the end and wanted to let me go right away.

Went over to her place and there was a sink full of dishes and some containers of food going bad on the counter, so I cleaned up and took out the garbage.

Today it was Margaret Maroon, which is the 751st name of gray; so named after himself by the Great Lord Cadswallop Purglethrup XII on the eve of the birth of his third nephew twice removed.

Now, I suppose that begs some explanation. You see, due to MANY generations of inbreeding, Lord Purglethrup was tragically colorblind, hence the maroon business. Furthermore, he was clinically an idiot, and I mean downright certifiable; and was taken with calling himself by whatever name struck his fancy at the moment. No one dared to contradict him, as it was well known that one advisor was made to dance for six hours in the town square while holding two pigs and singing ”I’m A Little Teapot” simply for suggesting a different color of napkin for the royal wedding when the Lord had wanted a forest green (which was really a hot neon pink!).

The Sun ☀️ was certainly trying to come out.

The clouds ☁️ played a hard zone defense, though.

Today for #MarketFriday I went to the local marketplace for words and ideas: the library 📚! 🤓

It’s a small-town library, so you won’t find EVERY book under the sun, but they can order it for you.

The thing I like most, though, is that they have movies and games as well as books! 😃 I think it’s been nearly ten years since I actually bought a game (other than some digital pinball tables)...discovering they had games was one of the highlights of moving back home to Michigan.

Starting to get beat again in Holybread. Seems someone hacked SE somehow and stole a bunch of breadcrumbs. They created a new token HBC and issued it out, so I dumped my HBBC. At least I got one Steem for them. 😀

Steemmonsters wasn’t to bad. I had Water splinter, which is one of my strongest, if not the strongest. Had some quest potions already saved up, so didn’t worry about that. Ended the quest solidly in Gold I with still a week to go in the season.

The new rewards dynamic is interesting. Neither my legendary nor gold foil potions payed off this time, though, and the DEC rewards were kind of lame:

In the evening we made homemade pizza 🍕 and watched a movie 🎥 I picked up at the library: Amazing Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald. It was pretty good, set before the Harry Potter movies...weird to see a young Dumbledore!
