June 23, 20: Walking, Xbox, Kitty Snuggles, Teaching, and Games

Even though I was up about the usual time, just shy of six, I actually got a full eight hours with a good sleep score! 🥳🤩

Just the same old stuff going on during the morning routine. Lots of bullish signs and news around the cryptosphere...PayPal adding Bitcoin!!!! Wooot!!!! But, not a lot of motion or volume yet.

The STEEM/HIVE ratio is slowly rising, so on all fronts I’m continuing to be patient.

We headed out for our walk plenty early enough to score a #AutomaticWin, but we only went like four and a half kilometers and I got doing posting and other stuff when we came back, so I broke my streak. 😭

It had certainly rained overnight, so doing laps around the school was definitely wet shoes and socks time. While it seemed to threaten to rain all day, we just got some wind and lots of clouds.

Not much sun this morning.

Although it did let us know that it was there, if only briefly.

I played Shantae on the Xbox for a while. I did end up deciding to do the tedium of finding all the health squids and got that cheevo, found a secret training ground for another one, and then beat the game. It has a “pirate mode,” which I started, but seems like just another play through with abilities already unlocked. Not really sure it was all that fun that it’s worth playing twice...now I need a new game. I suppose I can go back to Inquisitor, but the constant load screens suck.

I went out to check the mail and saw that the kitty was chillaxing on the front porch. I thought I might stop and say hi for a second, but shortly after I sat down (somewhat uncharacteristically) he came over and curled up in my lap! 🥰

It was really nice to just sit and try to be in the moment...was good snuggles and I ended up staying there with him for quite a while.

In the evening I met up with some of my Calculus students. We used Google Meet this time instead of Zoom. It worked well and we didn’t get booted out (unlimited time). Spent about an hour and a half fielding questions and doing some proofs regarding sequences and series.

After that it was pretty late already and so I got some cereal for dinner, played some Splinterlands, and then hit the sack.

This sentence is superfluous, but I’m not leaving this post with six hundred and sixty six words. 😜

Even though my crime rate went up to nine percent, seems that I’ve been getting lucky these past days! Once again, no robbery today and got like 76 SIM! Starting to grow at a reasonable rate.

I looked into a factory, but I’d still need a lot of population and they’re really expensive. We’ll see what’s next.

My maiden got lost somewhere along the way and didn’t bring me my daily Holybread rations, so no tasks today. Seems like they hooked me up with the bread anyway! 😃

Still up in the sixties, but they’ve made potions insanely expensive now, so if the battles were impossible before, they really will be...not expecting to hold here for long.

I had Dragon splinter for my Splinterlands quest today, which generally isn’t too bad. Although it took some doing, I was able to fight my way back up into Diamond I.
