June 28, 20: AutomaticWin, DoubleDay, Groceries, LEC Meeting, Calculus Videos, and Games
Right spot on six o’clock and seven and a half hours. Seem to be into a pretty regular pattern and I absolutely plowed through the day today, so no worries.
Did the usual morning routine. Not a lot going on other than the Bitcoin market flashing some bearish signs. Did have a nice surprise, though...enginewitty snapped up 150 SOL! 🤗☀️ Makes for a nice boost to the project.
We still just aren’t even considering going out to the woods (which kinda’ sucks, but bugs be damned), but we picked up Lady and went out to the fields around the middle and high schools. Crushed the #AutomaticWin, no problem.
Awesome day to be out! Warm and sunny 😎 although I do still have long stuff on.
Beautiful blue skies on a sunny Sunday morning. 😊 Got a bird flyby there as well. 😃
Caught some little buggers out for a morning drink.
...and a Japanese Beetle catching some rays!
Lots of cranes around these days. These two weren’t very chuffed that we were there, but were right at the top of the hill and perfectly framed by the overgrowth. 😀
Another beetle getting some morning munchies.
We made sure that the other people with dogs had left, and for the first time let Dude off the leash back on the nature trail. They both had a great time running around!
“It’s hot out here, eh?”
“Sniff, sniff, sniff...nevermind you guys.”
Quiet down at the pond...gotten a bit mucky again.
After we got back, I did my post and then we headed into town to do the weekly grocery shopping. Got home and stuff put away just in time to attend the monthly Libertarian Executive Committee meeting.
As usual, the meeting went longer than scheduled, but I think we did accomplish some things, more or less?
Seriously considering running for the local village council this year. Seems like it might be a little more feasible than the House, at least get my foot in the door.
After the meeting I recorded two new Calculus lecture videos on sequences and series. They still haven’t finished uploading, though. 🤬 It’s taken four or five hours already and it seems to only work when I’m actively on the upload screen. Super lame.
The teaching and writing on the board, along with shopping and morning exercise put me way above the #DoubleDay! 🏆
It was already pretty late by then, so we had some quick eggs and bacon for dinner and I fell asleep watching a new show: The Politician.
Taxes have been lightened somewhat, and I didn’t get robbed, so got a chunk of SIM from my dCity today. I still haven’t seen any effect of the technology I’ve gotten to try and reduce my crime rate.
I’ve seen some pics of other people’s cities, and mine looks kinda’ pathetic in comparison. I guess they put their money down.
Another day of getting all my Holybread tasks done. I’m almost to the point that I can afford potions, but I honestly don’t see any reason to spend all that on something temporary. I may as well just boost attributes permanently. We’ll see.
Holding in the mid seventies for now.
I got lucky and got Dragon splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. Didn’t take me very long at all, and I pushed higher than I ever have done before.
Still one more day left in the season, have to decide whether to skip a day or go for it and risk (likely) losing...
I finished the quest with a solid buffer into Champion III and a potion charge. Rewards were meh, though:
