It is another great day again, beautiful Sunday with a warm atmosphere. As usual, this is another recap of our game of focus which took place in the first part of EPL matchday 11 yesterday. So far so good, it has been an awesome EPL matchday most especially for the fans of the top 3 teams on the premier league table as they all got the deserved wins in their respective fixtures. So far, only one draw recorded yesterday in the Arsenal vs Wolves fixture as Arsenal weren’t able to hold on to their 1-0 lead to eventually draw the match 1-1 at home. Here are the results of the matches played yesterday and the upcoming fixtures today.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool was one of the many fixtures that took place yesterday. The game took place at the Villa Park as Aston Villa took on the current premier league leaders Liverpool at home. The Reds as they call them still remains the only team in the premier league that haven’t lost any game since last year and have continued that run of games this season with any “L” to their name so far. An adventurous season for Aston Villa back in the premier league as they continue to push for survival this season.

Prior to the start of this fixture, Liverpool were expected to clean out Aston Villa at the Villa Park, however, it didn’t turn out to be the case as Aston Villa really made it very difficult for Liverpool in the game and should have at least earned a point after missing a glorious chance in the game. Before things began to settle in the game, Aston Villa were 1-0 up, all thanks to Mahmoud Hassan 21 minute goal and were able to hold on to the lead to see off the first half.

Liverpool weren’t going to take the “L” for a result as they came into the second half very determined to turn the game around. They had a whopping 25 shots in the game and their continuous pressure eventually paid off when they scored the equalizer with about 4 minutes left on the clock, all thanks to Robertson 87th minute goal.

Not enough… we are not settling with a draw in this game… This was the mentality of the Liverpool players and their fans as they kept on pushing and pushing for the winning goal. Like I said above, yet again, their continuous pressure paid off for the second time in the game as Mane became the hero of the match for scoring a 90+4 minutes winning goal. Everywhere went metal for the whole Liverpool camp to pull off a comeback like that and late drama in just less than 10 minutes. So sad for Aston Villa and their fans as they could stop Liverpool from doing their thing, hence why they are still at the top up to this point and haven’t lost any premier league match since last season.
