Caloy Yulo and the other Ph gymnastics team, nervous but still focused on training

The Gymanastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) has confirmed that the country's gymnastics team will not lose focus from the start to the last minute training for the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

According to GAP secretary-general Bettina Pou, the whole team felt nervous but did not hinder it from being positive to target the 10 gold medals.

“The team is very positive heading into the Games. There is some nervousness, of course, since we are also playing here at home but the athletes are not allowing it to affect their focus. We are targeting at least 10 gold medals, ”Pou said in an interview.

Leading the Philippine gymnastics team is 19-year-old Carlos Edriel Yulo or better known as Caloy, the first Filipino to ever win a gold medal at the World Championhip in Germany recently.

All gymnastics events will be held at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, where artistic gymnastics will be scheduled from December 1 to December 4, rhythmic gymnastics in December. 6 and 7, the aerobics gymnastics last Dec. 9.

It was first reported that the Pasay-based Caloy was determined to sweep all seven events he participated in.
