Man City are miles off their brilliant best & if they don't improve - and fast - it's Liverpool's title

Manchester City though have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, they are not anywhere near heights they hit over the past two seasons.

Pep Guardiola's side drew 1-1 with Shakhtar Donetsk and this is really nothing to write home about. This is their sixth meeting in three years and they remain an unconquered domain for Pep Guardiola.

For the next three months, it remains to be seen how much City can cut into Liverpool’s nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

But the problem is that City are presently struggling to get anywhere near their incredible heights of the past two seasons and Jurgen Klopp’s side, Liverpool, are not relenting either.

In the field, City were short of their usual zang and the fact of the matter is that Guardiola’s summer signings are yet to match the qualities of the players they are supposed to be replacing. This has adversely affected them.

Liverpool is good! City’s replacements need to step up if they are to have a chance at making inroads into Liverpool’s sizeable lead over the next three months.

investors in this tribe get alerted on comment farming and such and as one of them am downvoting you for cut and pasting and using alts to do this, seems the refs aren't amused either.

Comment farming is highly discouraged. It affects the platform negatively. And ROI would be negative.

Man City is struggling alright but Injuries have also had their impact on Guardiola’s options with Leroy Sane, Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko enduring lengthy absences and to top it, Sergio Aguero will now miss a crucial period of the season due to injury. I will say that they are not playing with their best.
