Is Anthony Joshua Finally Having A Fight in His Homeland Nigeria?

Following the Anthony Joshua (AJ) last fight against Andy Ruiz Jr. in Saudi Arabia that saw he regained the WBA, WBO and WBO titles he formerly lost to Andy Ruiz Jr, the big question have been who will be next to fight AJ and where will the fight be.

Nigerians love their own home boy AJ and they have clamoured to see him fight in Nigeria and the report reaching the media is that the next fight of AJ is already fixed but as the the place is still in contemplation.

According to the promoter Eddie Hearn, it has been confirmed that Kubrat Pulev is the front-runner to face Anthony Joshua, which could happen in the coming weeks and for the venue, he said the fight would likely take place in the UK or Nigeria.

According to Hearn,

“I think we’ve established that the IBF mandatory was called before the WBO mandatory. Pulev is the fight for me, and more importantly for the boss, AJ, he wants it here. He’s boxed now in Saudi Arabia for his last fight, he’s boxed in New York before that.

“For me, it’s time to come home. The bad news is that Kubrat Pulev wants as much money as possible for this fight and he realises there’s more money in Istanbul, or Saudi Arabia, or the Congo, or Nigeria, but AJ is going to call the shots.

I think the time is right to see AJ does what he know how to do best in His home soil
