The New England Patriots have held on to their perfect season and have now reached a record of 6-0. At the same time quarterback Tom Brady surpassed Peyton Manning for second place on the all-time passing list.

Tonight's game however didn't rely on Brady's arm to get the win. Instead, the defense and special teams of the New England Patriots got the job done. Together they were able to grab the Patriots an extra 14 points with a blocked punt returned for a touchdown and a fumble recovery that also resulted in a touchdown.

On a side note, when teams don't have to rely on their star quarterback to get the win week-in and week-out, that means the team is dangerous. It also means they are dominant on all three phases of the game... offense, defense, and special teams.

I'm sure it was a welcomed surprise for Brady and Coach Belichick who have acquired 6 Super Bowl victories during their time together.

It was a particularly rough night for the rookie quarterback Daniel Jones (New York Giants) who went 15 for 31 in passing with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Tom Brady also did not have the best night. He did throw for over 300 yards, however he threw one interception with no passing touchdowns. Brady also cost the team 7 points with a strip-sack that was ran back for a score. In total, Brady fumbled the ball twice against the tough pass rush of the New York Giants.

The final score... 35-14.
