FAMILY OVER WINNING

During the NBA Offseason, many players where considered free agents. This includes Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis and many more. And even the reigning Finals MVP was a free agent.

With Kawhi Leonard in the Raptors last season, Toronto, Canada has won their first ever NBA championship. The Raptors considered Kawhi valuable to the team. And during that offseason, Kawhi's decision was the awaited decision for most NBA fans.

Not only the Raptors management has made moves to make Kawhi to stay in the team but also the fans and people of Canada.

But Kawhi decided to leave Toronto and go play in his hometown in Los Angeles. Kawhi's reason for leaving is so simple, it is because he misses his family. Kawhi stated that he wanted to play in LA, his hometown, first before traded to Toronto. But, it was the reverse. He was able to make history for Toronto and has brought a championshio to them.

After winning the championship, Kawhi feels like he has done his goal in Toronto and felt accomplished and that he is now free to play for his hometown. Just like his co-superstar Paul George, Kawhi wanted his family to come in his every game. I think, he feels motivated when his family is there watching his game. And during free time, Kawhi wanted to spend time with his nephews, nieces and family.

Now, it has all been clear to us why Kawhi did not stay in Toronto and go back to back. It's more like Kawhi just love his family so much. He prioritized the most precious thing, FAMILY, than winning in every game.
