The visiting New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in a crucial and a high-scoring game to 128-115. The New Orleans Pelicans rookie sensation Zion Williamson scored a team-high with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. He has now scored 20 points plus in seven consecutive games and becoming the youngest player in NBA history to accomplish. Jrue Holiday scored 20 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists while Josh Hart added 13 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists for the team victory. On the otherhand CJ McCollum scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Carmelo Anthony added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist while Hassan Whiteside contributed 19 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists for the Portland Trail Blazers in the losing effort. In today's game is such a good example of how much better New Orleans Pelicans offense is when they focus on the flow of the ball and off ball movement instead of letting Brandon Ingram slow it down and play one on one, that being said, Brandon Ingram still has the potential to grow and i'm sure he'll be a better player off the ball in the future. I think most teams need a mix of the two to some degree. Anyways, the New Orleans Pelicans improve their record to 24-32 while the Portland Trail Blazers fall to 25-32 on the season.
