My view on Chelsea versus Manchester United.

Yesterday was totally awesome, the victory tasted glorious. It felt like we lifted the trophy, maybe because it is another away win or simply because it was Chelsea at the receiving end.

I saw the line-up of both teams, there were lots of young players fielded. The match was boring at first but it later came to life, Chelsea played their game and Manchester played theirs also. I really think Lampard was not expecting Brandon Williams to mark Hudson Odoi out of the game, even Pulisic struggled with the defense.

Ole Gunnar has gotten the formula of playing 3 center backs while playing teams that attack aggressively, it worked out again yesterday night. Even the goal Chelsea got was from Maguire mistiming his header, Chelsea did not even register more than a shot on target in the first half.

Brandon Williams is really solid alongside Wan-Bissaka, I really think the defense line as really improved a lot. They could do better though; they somehow lose focus when a player is running at them. But it has been positives all the way for the past three games.

McTominay is a baller, a real midfield general. He tackles, intercepts, passes and has long range shots too. He has really improved and he has a long way to go, his pairing with Fred is complementary. They should play more together, with that they would understand themselves more. They actually kept Kovacic and Jorginho quiet, even Mason Mount could not do anything much when he came in.

My only problem with that line-up is Jesse Lingard, he seems lost in that number 10 role. It’s either he misplaces passes or he actually does too much of a trick. Pogba in that game yesterday would have easily gotten 2 or more assists. The game changed when Pereira came in, I believe OGS should play Pogba in that position when he is fit.

Chelsea tried their best, yesterday was just not their day. I am patiently waiting for the 2nd epl game at Stamford bridge next year, maybe they would finally get their ‘revenge’ as their fans said. As for now, every Manchester United fan is glad of the result!
