Arsenal star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang currently has 12 months left on his contract with "The Gunners", but the Reds from North London are ready to offer him a new contract that will keep him at the club for longer periods.

His current weekly salary is approx. £180,000-a-week, but as Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, believes that the Gabonese striker is vital for Arsenal's top-4 chances next season, the club will offer him the new and improved contract over the next few days.

Aubameyang has previously been linked with a transfer away from the club, but he reportedly should have had a very close relationship with Arteta, after the Spaniard took over the manager's seat back in December and therefore there are more and more indications that his stay at the Emirates is being extended.

A minus, however, is that Arsenal are without European football next season, as the club finishes outside the top-6 for the first time since 1995. However, they can qualify for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup, which could prove to be very important in relation to future transfers.
