Everton Sports Director Marcel Brands has been commenting to the Liverpool Echo newspaper about the club's plans in this summer's transfer window.

It will not be a summer where we spend large sums. It is not a matter of the owners or the club's well-being. It's about having to deal with the Financial Fair Play set, the sports director told the local newspaper.

So you should not expect big and expensive purchases for Everton this summer, but you can expect more player sales from the club. Among other things,

We are trying to sell some players who do not have a great future in the club, says the Dutch director.

Everton will play their first match after the Corona break tomorrow, when at home they welcome the league leaders, Liverpool FC.
