FC Barcelona is furious at Ousmane Dembele

FC Barcelona had a plan in place to send Ousmane Dembele to Manchester United so they could pick up Lyons Memphis Depay for Spain themselves. However, the deal never came to fruition as Dembele did not choose to switch to Manchester United, and they are very unhappy with that in Barcelona.

According to ESPN, FC Barcelona had made it clear to Dembele that he did not have a role on the team and that he should therefore accept the offer from Manchester United. The management of the Spanish big club was supposed to be furious at Dembele as he cost the club the influx of Depay.

Ousmane Dembele will thus face an autumn where there will be limited playing time, as Ronald Koeman does not intend to use the Frenchman.

As ip have previously written on my previous blog, Dembele wanted to go to Juventus, and that was supposed to be the reason why he turned down the offer from Manchester United. Ousmane Dembele has a contract with FC Barcelona until the summer of 2022.
