Hazard out with yet another injury

In addition to Real Madrid losing 1-2 to Alaves, they also had to watch Eden Hazard leave the pitch as he was injured after just 28 minutes of play. The next day, Real Madrid announces that it is a matter of a thigh injury to the Belgian, who will therefore miss Tuesday's Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Real Madrid do not say how long the club will have to do without Hazard, but the Spanish newspaper Marca writes today that the Belgian must be out for at least three weeks. It is not the first time that Real Madrid have had to do without Eden Hazard since he joined the club back in 2019.

Hazard has only played 28 games for Real Madrid, as he has been injured nine times in just over a year. The Belgian has missed 36 matches in his time in the Real Madrid shirt, and that number will grow in the near future.

There will therefore be no Eden Hazard when Real Madrid have to play the decisive match against Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow in the Champions League. With a win, the Madrid club will advance to the Champions League as they will be six points ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk before the final round.
