Africa Cup of Nations Tournament(AFCON) Finals 2019: Senegal Vs Algeria

The Africa Cup of Nations Tournament(AFCON) 2019 is coming to an end tomorrow with Senegal battling Algeria for the trophy.

It has been an exciting ride where we have enjoyed the great football played by Africans.

There has also been a lot of upsets that have caused some coaches to be sacked unfortunately!!

We have also seen this final being the fifth one to have an All-Africa coaches final, where the last one happened in 1998.

It is great because no matter the outcome of the results tomorrow, the trophy will be won by an African coach!!

It has been an exciting ride as we had Madagascar who are debutants shocked the continent by first beating Nigeria in their last group game and proceeded until the quarterfinals.

It will be an interesting final tomorrow as Manchester City's Mahrez comes face to face with Liverpool's Mane. The recently concluded English Premier League(EPL) saw Man City win the league by just one point over Liverpool.

I believe Sadio Mane would like to inflict pain on his City counterpart by winning this final hehehe.

The game might center around this two great players who were both pivotal to the success of their clubs last season.

We saw Riyad Mahrez being instrumental to Manchester City's premier league triumph and likewise Sadio Mane to Liverpool's Champions league triumph.

All these two folks would love to add silverware to their cupboards and the opportunity is tomorrow.

Let us wait and see who comes victor of the two.

Algeria's Road To Final

I have to admit that Algeria has been the most in form team in the tournament where they won all their group C games.

They have five wins and a draw, 12 goals scored and two conceded,these are impressive stats.

As i said above, they won all their group games against Kenya, Tanzania and also against Senegal!! Does this mean they have an upper hand ???

They eased through Guinea in the round of 16 with three easy goals and also overcame Ivory Coast on penalties in the quarter finals!!

We also saw Algeria score a late free-kick that eliminated Nigeria in the semi finals.

Senegal's Road To Final

Senegal has been inconsistent and they have scrapped through the final(IMO) after been beaten by this same Alferia in their group stage game.

They also survived us(Uganda) in that round of 16 game hehehe.
Senegal came second to Algeria in group c with six points with wins coming against Kenya and Tanzania.

They scrapped through the round of 16 after beating my home country Uganda by just one goal through Sadio Mane!! It was a well taken strike though, I have to admit it!!!

Senegal again scrapped through the quarter finals by beating Benin by one goal again!!

They also beat Tunisia through an own goal to advance to the semi finals.

In my opinion Senegal need to up their game tomorrow especially in front of goal!!

Sadio Mane has to be at his best in order to win tomorrow's game.

The game will be played tomorrow at 22:00 EAT at Cairo International Stadium.

So folks tomorrow come to the end of the Africa Cup of Nations Tournament(AFCON) 2019.
