Carlos Vela Beats Ibrahimovic To 2019 MLS MVP Award

Carlos Vela has just won MLS Most Valuable Player award after beating Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

This award follows Vela's impressive display in the season which saw him break the records of most goals scored in MLS with 34 goals and 15 assists

Since Vela move from Real Sociedad in 2018, he has been scoring goals for fun. His first season saw him score 14 goals and 13 assists.

His close rival in the league Zlatan Ibrahimovic also performed well during the Season but Vela outstanding performance saw him scoop the award ahead of the Swedish man.

Vela garnering 69% of vote to Ibrahimovic 14%. The third spot went to Josef Martinez of Atlanta United
