Re-Affirming My Stances On Why I Thought Odion Ighalo's Signing Was The Wrong Move For Manchester United

Many quality players take time before they can actually break the duck for their new clubs, so the fact that Odion Ighalo hasn't started to score for Manchester United isn't really a reason why I consider him a wrong signing for the Red devil's. Before he even kicked a ball in a United jersey i reiterated the fact that he wasn't really a technically gifted player even from the 32-year old's point of view, I think it's a rather emotional signing rather than a rational one. He left Watford about two or three years ago to go to the Chinese league and that was simply because he stopped scoring goals at Watford and they cashed on him and sold him to China where he relatively scored a lot of goal in a quite subdued league and here he is trying to give what he can at United.
It's been three games played at United now and things like his body movements, his sharpness and physicality isn't really up there. His impact is almost non-existent and you could tell that he was struggling with the pace of these games he's played. United is built to occupy more players with flair rather than rigidity, the football pattern of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn't suit the Nigerian in any way and he'll have to do something extraordinary in other to stand out in this Man United team. The fact that he had to take a pay cut to come to England baffles me, it makes me question if he doesn't have advisers and agent, a move to the La Liga could have made More sense could it be that be was looking to play again in Europe but we've seen so many cases where player's choose to play for their dream clubs even when they knew they won't do well there, look at the case of Eden Hazard at Real Madrid.
However there's no love lost lost and the reason is because this deal will never be made permanent as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reiterated in a Press conference, Odion Ighalo can score goals there's no disputing that but not in England. He's the type of player that likes defenders at his mercy, he's not the type that will score a goal out of nothing and in the English premier league you need to be more than a goal scorer who likes the ball to be wherever they want it. I'm predicting him to miss a lot of sitters and one-on-ones because he'll suffer from lack of confidence as a result of the cumulative pressure to showcase himself, this was typical of him in the Nigerian National team, he's flopped when he's under pressure and scores when it absolutely doesn't matter.
I'm sure so many United fans shares the same fear as relating to Jude Odion Ighalo, he's regained his confidence playing in the Chinese league and that's actually good, but England isn't China and he'll struggle to adapt and before he can adapt, his loan deal will already be over and his time at United will be without any impact. Sometimes agents are culpable and should be held accountable, sometimes as a player you can't give what you don't have and you should understand this, I guess the idea of going down as the first Nigerian to play for United contributed in him coming to the theatre of dreams, but he's no longer young, he's no technical on the ball and I'm wondering what again he could offer to Manchester United.
