Pinay skateboarder Margielyn Didal has grown more likely to enter the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Didal finished fifth with the highest position ever reached by a Filipino - on the Street League Skateboarding World Tour on Monday (Manila time) held at the CA Skateparks Training Facility in Los Angeles.

The Cebuana skateboarder scored 21.2 in the women's finals and overcame the former world champion and five-time Summer X Games gold medalist Leticia Bufoni of Brazil (21.0).

The 11-year-old Brazilian prodigy, Rayssa Leal, led the championship with his 23.3 score; while Alana Smith of the United States (22.5); and third place will be defending champion Aori Nishimura of Japan (22.1)

Didal is poised to win the Philippines's fourth gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games and is expected to also play in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games where the Philippines will host the tournament.
