Floyd Mayweather Jr. opens the door to give a rematch demanded by his former rival Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather had earlier insisted that he would never again enter a boxing match, and his advisor Leonard Ellerbe also said that the undefeated American was "zero interest" in the possibility of re-enacting a fighting senator.
But in an interview, Mayweather revealed that it was only time to tell if there would be a comeback over the ring.

"We don't know ... only time will tell,"
Mayweather said.

Last week, the two champions took to social media after Pacquiao's 40-year win over Keith Thurman to steal the WBA "super" welterweight belt. It started after Mayweather expressed his frustration because his name was always linked to Pacquiao in a bad way.

“This man’s entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name and it’s about time you all stop using my brand for clout chasing and clickbait and let that man’s name hold weight of its own.

“For years, all you heard was that ‘Floyd is afraid of Manny Pacquiao’. But what’s funny is, when we finally fought, I won so easily that everyone had to eat their words!”

As a result, Pacquiao lost his temper and he challenged Mayweather in a rematch, who was later sacked.

“I was only at your fight supervising you, my employee, as any real BOSS would do. You made $10million for 12 rounds, when I just made $9m in under three minutes playing around in an exhibition with a pizza delivery guy!"
“I beat you mentally, physically and financially! Remember, you fight because you have to, I fight when I want to!”

Meanwhile, a boxing analyst has previously said that it would be best if Mayweather were the last to fight Pacquiao. In an interview with Bombo Radio, Atty. Ed Tolentino said that although Pacquiao was still “contractually obligated” to take part in two more fights, Mayweather should have been ahead of him and retired.

"Even if Pacquiao has two fights obligation at Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions, when a boxer decides to retire, that obligation cannot be enforced," Tolentino said.

"If Pacquiao really does, if the Mayweather [rematch] can come first," even if he still has one fight left, he'll waive and he'll retire. "
