Jessie Smith won the UCI BMX World Championship title

Jessie Smith claims the junior women's UCI BMX World Championship title in Zolder, Belgium on July 27, 2019. Smith passed Agustina Cavalli in th final 15m on a rain affected final day.The 18-year old Jessie Smith is the first Kiwi biker rider who won Junior Women's World Champion.

The Olympic BMX silver medalist-Sarah Walker, serves as her coach and a mentor also assisted her financially .

The New Zealander Smith will be representing Youth Olympics at Argentina in October but before then, Smith with her mentor Sarah will be participating the qualifying tournaments this upcoming week for the Tokyo Olympics this coming 2020.
